What is the difference between gross and net revenue?
Gross is what the guest pays. Net is what's left once the platform commission, the tourist tax and the cleaning fees are removed. HostDesk calculates the full cascade, day by day.
Does HostDesk replace my accountant?
No, it feeds them. HostDesk keeps your income and expenses at net, prepares clean exports (PDF and CSV) and saves you hours of formatting — but your accountant remains your point of contact for your obligations.
Can I compare my accounting across previous years?
Yes. Each monthly line shows this year's value and, below it, the previous years', thanks to the complete history. You see immediately whether an expense is drifting compared with last year.
What do cash flow and margin include?
Cash flow is the real balance between your net income and your expenses over the period. Margin relates that balance to your revenue. Both are calculated automatically, month by month.
Is the tourist tax handled?
Yes, the tourist tax is isolated in the breakdown so it doesn't artificially inflate your income and to make its remittance easier.
