The problem

Five tabs, a spreadsheet, and the nagging feeling you forgot something.

Running holiday lets without a dedicated tool means spending your days piecing together scattered information.

Every morning, the same ritual: open the Airbnb tab for arrivals, the Booking tab for departures, the VRBO tab to check no dates overlap, then switch to the spreadsheet to add up commissions and finally work out what's really left. Meanwhile, you wonder whether the studio's cleaning is booked, and whether the cleaner confirmed.

That scattering is costly: time lost every day, double bookings dodged at the last minute, forgotten cleanings, and above all no simple way to answer the question that matters — "is my business actually working?". The HostDesk dashboard exists to make that ritual disappear.

What you see

Four zones, and your whole day is under control.

The dashboard is laid out, top to bottom, to answer the four questions you ask yourself every day.

Zone 1 · Your figures

Your indicators calculate themselves.

At the top of the screen, your essential KPIs are always up to date: net revenue, occupancy rate, ADR and RevPAR. HostDesk cross-references your bookings and expenses to show real figures — not estimates.

  • Net revenue after commissions and fees.
  • Comparison with last year, at a glance.
  • A forecast that projects your year-end.

Zone 2 · Today

Your day, at a glance.

Who's arriving, who's leaving, which property needs cleaning: the day view tells you exactly what to do, with nothing missed. Every row is clickable to open the booking or cleaning detail.

  • Arrivals and departures for the day, with times.
  • The cleanings to arrange between two stays.
  • Readable on mobile, wherever you are.

Zone 3 · To handle

An action queue, so nothing slips through.

The dashboard surfaces the items that need a decision: an iCal to confirm, a possible overlap, a cleaning to schedule, a payout to reconcile. You handle it, you archive it, it's done.

  • Detection of booking conflicts and duplicates.
  • Reminders for cleanings and payouts to confirm.
  • Each action leads straight to the right screen.

Zone 4 · Your properties

What each property contributes.

At the bottom of the dashboard, one bar per property shows where your revenue comes from — and through which platform. You spot the property that performs, the one that lags, and how dependent you are on each channel.

  • Split of Airbnb / Booking / direct per property.
  • Your most profitable property highlighted.
  • A gateway to your detailed statistics.

The real screen

Here's the dashboard, for real.

Not an idealised mockup: the screen you'll use every day, with its four zones together.

The indicators, explained

Understand your KPIs without being an accountant.

Net revenue
Net revenue is what's actually left once platform commissions, taxes and cleaning fees are removed. It's your real income, not the figure shown to the guest.
ADR
The Average Daily Rate, or average price per night sold, shows the average rate your nights go for. A rising ADR means you're getting more value from your properties.
RevPAR
Revenue Per Available Room combines price and occupancy: it's the revenue per available property. It's the most honest indicator for comparing two properties.
Occupancy rate
The share of nights actually let out of the available nights. It reveals whether your problem is price (high occupancy, low ADR) or demand (low occupancy).
Break-even point
The level of net revenue at which your business covers its costs. The dashboard makes it visible so you know where you stand in the year.
Forecast
A projection of your year-end calculated from your real trends and your upcoming bookings calendar. To anticipate, not guess.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about the dashboard.

What is a holiday rental dashboard?

It's the control screen that brings together, in real time, everything happening across your properties: today's arrivals and departures, the cleanings to arrange, your financial indicators (net revenue, ADR, RevPAR, occupancy) and the actions to handle. Instead of juggling Airbnb, Booking, VRBO and a spreadsheet, you get a single view, always up to date.

Which KPIs does the HostDesk dashboard track?

The dashboard automatically calculates your net revenue, your ADR (average price per night), your RevPAR (revenue per available property), your occupancy rate, plus the contribution of each property and each platform. A forecast projects your year-end from your real trends.

Is the dashboard updated in real time?

Yes. As soon as a booking arrives via your iCal links (Airbnb, Booking, VRBO) or a cleaning is validated, the dashboard updates automatically. You have no manual entry to do.

How many properties can I run?

HostDesk is deliberately capped at 4 properties to stay simple and suited to independent private hosts. The free plan lets you run 1 property for life, with no credit card.

Do I have to drop my spreadsheet?

Yes, that's the point. The dashboard replaces the multiple browser tabs and the spreadsheet: your figures are calculated on their own, with no formula to maintain and no copy-paste. You can import your Airbnb or Booking history to start with your data from day one.

Does the dashboard work on mobile?

Yes. The operations view is designed to be readable on a phone: you check your arrivals, departures and cleanings for the day at a glance, wherever you are.
