How does HostDesk detect booking overlaps?

As soon as a booking imported via iCal overlaps the dates of another on the same property, HostDesk flags it as an overlap and surfaces it in your actions to handle. You avoid overbookings, which are costly in cancellations and negative reviews.

What is a “duplicate” and why does it appear?

A duplicate occurs when the same booking comes in from two sources (for example an Airbnb iCal and a manual import). HostDesk matches them and offers to merge, to keep a clean list and accurate statistics.

What does “iCal to confirm” mean?

Platform iCal calendars don't always pass the guest's name or the amount. A booking to confirm is a detected booking that is missing information: you complete it in one click to make your figures reliable.

Can I see the cost breakdown of a booking?

Yes. Each booking opens onto a detailed card with the full breakdown: amount paid by the guest, platform commission, tourist tax, cleaning fee and the net revenue you actually keep.

Can I filter my bookings?

You filter by property, by platform, by status (arrival, departure, in progress, completed) and by period. The list stays readable even with several properties and dozens of stays.

Are direct bookings handled?
